爸爸是一名出租車司機(jī)。原來(lái)，爸爸載客過(guò)程中遇到了一個(gè)外國(guó)友人，他“嘰里咕�！钡卣f(shuō)了一大串英語(yǔ)，爸爸卻一句也沒(méi)聽懂。外國(guó)友人只好搖搖頭，伸手去攔別的出租車。爸爸白白丟了一單生意，感到非常懊惱。

“你看，例如，‘Zhongshan Park’（中山公園），公園里有老虎、獅子等讓人害怕的動(dòng)物，所以‘park’開頭就是發(fā)‘怕’的音，一害怕，不小心磕著了，所以就是‘怕磕’�！�
“早這么教，我不是早就會(huì)了嘛！”爸爸一拍大腿，興奮地站了起來(lái)。我接著編：“像‘beach’（沙灘），就想成你在沙灘上用鼻子吃飯，發(fā)音就是‘beach’。”不到一分鐘，爸爸就輕輕松松記住了“park”和“beach”兩個(gè)單詞。
我找到了竅門，教起爸爸來(lái)輕松了許多。我又幫爸爸將常用的單詞在手機(jī)上錄了音，讓他有空就聽一聽。終于，幾天后，爸爸滿臉笑容的回家了，他告訴我們，今天他又遇到了一個(gè)外國(guó)友人，他說(shuō)的英語(yǔ)爸爸大多沒(méi)聽懂，只聽出來(lái)了“Landing Stage”，就知道要去棧橋。爸爸立刻說(shuō)：“OK，OK（好的）！”那外國(guó)友人下車后還向爸爸豎起了大拇指，爸爸心里自然是美滋滋的。

At the end of that summer vacation, I found I became nearly as fluent as a native English speaker.

Next I rode my bike. I could ride really fast. After a while, my sister and I had a bike riding competition. I rode much faster than her, so I won the game. My sister asked why I rode so fast. I told her it’s because I ride my bike every day. My sister said she would start riding her bike every day too.
Finally I sat on the bench and drank my cola. The cola was sweet and cold. It was very nice.
In the evening, we went to the restaurant and had a big meal.
