南丁格爾誓言

　　Nightingale pledge

　　I solemnly pledge myself before God and in the presence of this assembly to pass my life in purity and to practice my profession faithfully. I will abstain from whatever is deleterious and mischievous， and will not take or knowingly administer any harmful drug. I will do all in my power to maintain and elevate the standard of my profession， and will hold in confidence all personal matters mitted to my keeping and all family affairs ing to my knowledge in the practice of my calling. With loyalty will I endeavor to aid the physician in his work and devote myself to the welfare of those mitted to my care.

　　【Florence Nightingale】弗洛淪斯·南丁格爾，1820-1910，英國女護士，近代護理學創(chuàng)始人。生于意大利佛羅倫薩。1850年在德國領悟護理，1854-1856年在克里米亞戰(zhàn)爭中率領38名護士赴前線參加傷病員護理工作，建立醫(yī)院管理制度，提高護理質(zhì)量，使傷病員死亡率迅速下降。1860年在倫敦創(chuàng)辦英國第一所護士學校，推動了西歐各國以及世界各地的護理工作和護士教育的發(fā)展。著有《護理工作記錄》等。國際護士會將她的誕辰日——5月12日定為“國際護士節(jié)”，以示對她的紀念。
